Applications are open to the wider audiovisual and creative industry, including writers, creators, directors, producers, production companies, and other relevant companies or professionals. Writers and creators of any nationality are welcome to apply, subject to the specific eligibility requirements of each call.

Applicants must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and must hold the rights to the submitted project or have secured the necessary authorization from the rights holder(s) to submit and represent the project.

Green Olive First Light evaluates projects based on the strength of the idea, originality of voice, creative merit, and clarity of vision, rather than prior professional experience. Applicants are encouraged to carefully review the relevant submission guidelines and ensure that their materials align with the objectives, scope, and eligibility criteria of the applicable call.

Submissions of Pitch deck must include the following elements:

Title Page

• Project title
• Tagline
• Creator(s) / Production company

Logline / Concept

• A short summary (1–3 sentences) describing the core idea, main character(s), and central conflict or premise

Project Overview

• Format (e.g. feature film, TV series, documentary, animation, entertainment format)
• Genre
• Duration (e.g. 90 min, 8 x 45 min, etc.)
• Status of the project (development stage)

Synopsis

• A brief narrative outline of the story or concept
• For series: include season overview
• For formats: explain the concept and how it unfolds

Characters / Contributors

• Key characters (for fiction) or participants (for documentary/unscripted)
• Brief descriptions and roles

Visual Approach and Tone

• Description of the visual style, tone, and atmosphere
• Optional reference images or comparable works

Structure / Episode Outline (if applicable)

• For series or formats: outline episode structure or progression
• For films: narrative structure overview

Themes & Intent

• Core themes, message, or creative intention
• Why this project is relevant now

Creative Team

• Key creators and their relevant experience (director, writer, producer, etc.)

• Submissions may be made in either Greek or English, and the development process will be conducted in one of these languages as agreed with the project team.
• There are no restrictions on the project’s shooting language. Applicants are encouraged to choose the language or languages that best serve the creative, cultural, and commercial needs of the story.

Within a reasonable timeframe, the proposal will be reviewed and assessed by the Development Team of Green Olive Films. Should interest arise for further discussion or collaboration, we will contact you separately, and any subsequent stage will be governed by a relevant written agreement.

No. By submitting your project to Green Olive Cosmos, you do not transfer, assign, or relinquish any intellectual property or ownership rights. Submission is made solely for evaluation purposes.

If Green Olive expresses interest in further development or collaboration, any option, licensing, or transfer of rights will only take place through a separate written agreement, mutually negotiated and agreed upon by all parties.

Submissions may be made in Greek (including Cypriot dialect), English, or any other language. Applicants submitting in languages other than Greek or English are encouraged to include a translation or supporting materials in English to facilitate the evaluation process. All submissions should reflect a strong sense of local authenticity while demonstrating clear potential for international resonance.
